![]() Another win for the Kobo Glo HD.īeing able to store that many books is going to come in handy since there is easy access to Kobo’s 24/7 eBookstore through Wi-Fi. My bookshelves unfortunately cannot handle 3,000 books as much as I wish they could. Clearly not a problem since it can store up to 3,000 eBooks in your “library”. My other concern was that it wouldn’t be able to hold many books. Just try and adjust the font size of your favourite book. ![]() It features a book-like 6” HD Carta E Ink touchscreen with fully adjustable ComfortLight and the convenience of adjustable fonts, sizes and margins. I have to say I am really impressed with the the Kobo Glo HD here too. I always thought an eReader would make my eyes hurt from the glare or be too dull to easily read. Honestly, as soon as I realized I could do this, I was sold. With the Kobo Glo HD though I only need one hand to read it that way and since its so small and light my arm does not tire as quickly. I don’t know if I am alone in this, but its a real problem for me. A challenge at best with actual books between my arms getting tired and just the awkwardness of holding a book open over your head to read. I love to read laying down in bed or on the couch or even outside on my chaise. I dare say it is much lighter than a paperback, never-mind a hardcover book. I was immediately surprised by how compact, light and comfortable to hold the Kobo Glo HD is. So when I was challenged to give the new Kobo Glo HD a try for 7 days I was still quite hesitant, but decided to give it a go. I felt I would miss the tactile experience of books or the musty smell of some of my old favourites. I’ve been very skeptical about e-books and eReaders in general. I’ve been thinking about getting another bookshelf just to accommodate my growing collection except I have no where to put said bookshelf. I am talking books stacked on each other in double rows. Today I have two tall bookshelves crammed with books. Some I had to sneak to read like my dad’s Stephen King books. I then moved on to the books my parents had around. Soon I had every single book from that series in my collection. A friend gifted me the first book in another series as recommended by her dad. Let’s just say that was well before the modern film adaptions! After I read the Hobbit, I moved on to The Lord of the Rings, and then on to the Dragonlance series. I’ve been an avid reader since I first picked up and read The Hobbit by J.R.R.
